I need Help.
We were running MQV5.3.0.5 with WBIMB V5.0.0.4
We recently upgraded to MQV6.0 and kept the same WBIMB V5.0 version.
Everything starts up fine. There are no errors anywhere but the windows config manager (also upgraded to MQV6.0) does not seem to connect to our MQ V6.0 qmgrs on our AIX box.
What could I be doing wrong? All the message flows and exec groups exist but it does not seem to run!
Help! |

Can you manually start the channels? |

When you "upgraded" to MQV6, did you delete and recreate your queue managers?
When you did that, did you preserve the security using amqoamd? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I didnt have to delete or recreate any qmgrs yet. They all came back up fine.
I did save the MQ object using the saveqmgr but forgot to save the security.
But what could be wrong? |

We have to troubleshoot first.

What is this, exactly? Do you mean the WebSphere MQ Explorer that runs in Eclipse, or something else?

Where did you look, exactly? We need to know, or else we have to make assumptions.
Thanks |

In our Environment, we have the AIX brokers at V5.0 running on QMGR 6.0 (recently upgraded).
Our broker configuration manager resides on Windows and is version V5.0 but is running on MQ6.0 (recently upgraded).
I looked at the configuration manager box's event logs, qmgr errors.
On the broker AIX box, I looked at the /var/mqm/qmgr/<QMGRNAME>/errors & /var/mqm/errors and the qmgr logs.
What else? |

Do you see anything in the windows app logs ?
When you get an error do you get a reason code ? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

In the absence of any MQ error messages, it's difficult to see if anything is going wrong within MQ itself.
Actually I think this is a problem best fitted to the WBIMB forum - the folks there would have some ideas about it, since it concerns the "broker configuration manager". Could we get this thread moved to that forum? |

You mean the configmgr on windows isn't communicating with the brokers on AIX. How you do know? Are you seeing the brokers as being "not running" in the toolkit? Did you look at the broker's log on AIX (syslog)? _________________ -wayne |

Is MQ V6.0 compatible with WBIMB 5.0 CSD4? |
