Hi,

Does anyone know what this channel is used for? The reason I ask it that out build by default put an IP and UserId checking security exit on all SVRCONN channels. I need to either remove the exit or preferably setup a file with IPs and User ID needing to use the channel.

Many thanks
Stefan

It is used by the broker to communicate with it's qmgr.

Is it? I thought the broker used "server" bindings ... I have no such channel on my V5 or V6 broker.

Bizzarre, bizzarre. I'll have to check Monday, but it seems that it gets created automatically when you create the broker(v6). Haven't tried to check what happens if you put the mcauser to 'nobody'.

FJ -
I don't have this channel on my broker v6 qmgr or my v6 configmgr queue manager either.

Maybe this is an autodef'd channel?

If there is no autodef exit, and no one has changed the descr on system.auto.svrconn, then it would have the descr:
DESCR(Auto-defined by 192.168.1.14 2006-03-18 15.18.30)
