We have role based corporate workflow application on MQ workflow 3.5.
Performers for manual steps in application are dynamic either assigned to user specified in a data variable or to a group specified in a data variable.
Intermittently we find that steps are not assigned to specified person or people in group but is assigned to process admin. After investigatin we find that mapping are perfect and nothing unusal is visible in logs. Infact such occurance is 1 in 500.
Can anybody help how to find why sometime these things happen.
How to set log level where mq workflow log if it does not find specified user and intead assigning to process admin.

no, process instances are not completed. We checked the container values and they are all right. Its kindda weired behaviour and is not consistent.
The only thing I can notice is few sql errors in mq workflow logs intermittently. Error msgs are not very informative. I suspect does it have to do anything with workflow cleaning service (I guess it runs once in a while automatically by mq workflow)?

I agree with Venny. IF you have the instance in a running state, you should be able to see what is in the container for the staffing. The big HINT is that things are ending up on the PA worklist. This means that MQWF is unable to resolve the staff, so if you have the workitem in the monitor you can see the container items and should be able to solve this issue. _________________ John McDonald
