When i used SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN to connect from a m/c to m/c where mq is installed ,the prog in remote m/c(where no mq is installed) is unable to post messages in to MQ queue.

I have typed below command with my sys details also.
set MQSERVER=SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN/TCP/<HOSTNAMEORIPADDRESS>(1414)

What might be the problem.Am i missing any more steps?.

Do you have MQ client installed or are you using JMS?

You *might* be missing a lot.... do you get an error code like 2059, 2058, 2085, 2033, 2035...????
