XMS is a non-Java implementation of the Java Message Service (JMS) API, currently implemented to work with the IBM WebSphere messaging portfolio.
XMS C/C++ can connect to the following IBM messaging servers -- WebSphere MQ, The default messaging provider in WebSphere Application Server v6 and WebSphere Business Integration Event/Message Brokers over Real-time Transport.
An XMS application can exchange messages with any of the following types of application - An XMS application, a WebSphere MQ JMS application, a native WebSphere MQ application and a JMS application that is using the WebSphere default messaging provider. XMS applications may use different IBM messaging servers with little or no change.
We have now refreshed SupportPac IA94 on Windows and Linux to provide a 1.2.1.0 level. This SupportPac is now category 3 supported product under
the same terms of support agreement for your WPM or WMQ server products.
This client was previously released as a Cat2 SupportPac. The main additions since this have been the inclusion of SSL and HTTP transports
for WPM, SSL transport for WMQ and connection bridging. A number of minor issues have also been resolved.
The enhanced SupportPac for Solaris will be available soon, once further testing has been completed.
