Hello Gurus,
I have a doubt about the initiation queue on Z/os. Can a queue manager associated with more than one Initation queue?
I think it should support as Initaition queue is a local queue and have seperate process defined to be assocaited with each initiation queue.
will the same CKTI adaptor monitors the initiation queue?
if the same program monitors the queue, what happens when trigeger messgaes are being written to both the queues at the same time? Is there any kind of priortization mechanism is availble with CKTI montoring program?
Appriciate your time..
Thanks,
Salauddin |

no. processes are associated with the application queue that is triggered.
many application queues can be triggered by using only one trigger monitor (ckti in your case) because every application queue can have its own process definition. of course, application queues can use the same process definition.
there is (there should be) only one ckti per initiation queue, but you can have multiple instances of ckti and every instance can have its own initiation queue, but in most cases this is not neccessary.
i do not understand your last question, but maybe it is obsolete now? _________________ Regards, Butcher |

Thanks for your reply. As you said, the last question is obsolete.
Now it is clear and makes sense.
Thanks again for your time and your reply is simply superb.
Thanks,
