Hi,

I have a message exit program written using C language to send files thru MQ in Iseries. Do I have to install the same mesage exit program in Windows to receive files which are sent fron Iseries?

I read the reference messages part of MQ documentation and It had the following point,

cl amqsxrma.c -o amqsxrma.dll -LD -DEFAULTLIB mqm.lib mqmvx.lib amqsxrm.def

Now How do I get the command 'cl' in windows. are they specifying a native C compiler.


I have not configured the receiver channel in Windows with the exit program in iSeries, so whatever the mesage Im sending gets lost. meaning it will be successfully sent from Iseries but it is not reaching Windows. Is ther any way I can see these incompletely sent messages?

Message exits have to come in pairs.

You can stop the sender from the iSeries and look at the messages in the transmit queue.

Having said that if you are trying to use message exits on the sender you must have the message exit on the rcvr as well.

cl is not dos or windows ... you will have to use c.
