Kindly remind me , There is an executable that helps us to create the script for all the component(i.e Queues, Channels etc) for a pirticular queue manager. So that when we move the Queue manager from one System to another all you need to do is to create a queue manager and then run the script generated by the tool from source queue manager to destination queue manager.
I know there is a tool . I am just not able to recall. Kincly remind me and also suggest if you have direct link to where can I find this tool. |

vineet.rawat,
in the headline you wrote

but in the thread you wrote:

... when we move the Queue manager ... |
Just to clarify: You do not copy QMgr contents and you also do not move a QMgr from one System to another. The only thing you do using the support pac MS03 (saveqmgr) is: You create another QMgr with the same objects. This means, you just clone your existing QMgr.
You will loose all messages and you will have in fact another QMgr - even when you use the same name (another QMgr ID). The last point will cause problems when you use MQ clustering.
If you really want to move a QMgr, stop it, tar the directory /var/mqm (on Unix, when you are using default paths), copy the archive to the new machine and untar it. Then you would have been moved the QMgr and you also would have been taken over the messages in the queues.
It is up to you, what you really want. _________________ Regards
