Hi,
I am trying to create a message definition file using an xml schema and when I do that I get the following error.

Duplicate XML name for global element 'AgeUnitCode' and global attribute 'AgeUnitCode'. Physical format: 'XML1'.

Can somebody help me in clearing this error. Also I have a schema redefinition file. WBI is not accepting that file. Is there a way to add this to the messageset.

Please can somebody help me in this. Thank you very much.

Regards,
Rupesh

WBIMB does not support a global element and attribute with the same name.

WBIMB does support redefine.

Sorry I couldn't give you better news. If you cannot change the message format then you will have to use the XML or XMLNS parser and either validate manually or using a java plugin to validate against the schema.

Thank you very much. Could you let me know the procedure for creating mxsd from a redefine schema. I am getting an error saying that WBIMB does not support redefine schema.

Sorry, WBI MB does NOT support XML Schema redefines. There is no way to get this into a message set. You'll have to change the schema I'm afraid.

WBIMB - Have the redefine and import statements been addressed or are scheduled to be addressed in the fix packs ???...

In WMB V6 schema 'include' and 'import' are supported but 'redefine' is not. However, whereas in V5 a schema containing a 'redefine' gives an error during import into the toolkit, in V6 the import succeeds. Instead an error is given in the task list, and there is a 'Quick Fix' associated with the task list error that replaces the 'redefine' with an 'include'.

That's not comforting ... redefine morphing into an include statement...
Nevertheless thanks for your response
