Hello,

I have implemented a MQ Series 5.2 interface in "MA88: MQSeries classes for Java and MQSeries classes for Java Message Service"...

Now they want to upgrade to MQ Series 5.3 and according to IBM the old MQ classes can still be used but it is not recommended.

Does anyone have any experience in such an upgrading. Are the methods and functions in the new 5.3 API the same as the one currently used?

MA88 is incorporated in the product with 5.3

Java and JMS is part of the product since 5.3 base
A pub/sub engine is part of the product since 5.3 CSD08

And yes the same interfaces should work(JMS) (Your classpath might change though)

(Don't use java base enough to form an opinion)
