Hi All,
Could any one please help me out.
Is it possible for me to access the queues which were created in solaris 2.6 with MQSeries 5, from the application which built on solaris 2.9 with MQSeries 5.3?
Most of the time my application which built with solaris 2.9 + MQSeries getting hanged and same with solaris 2.6 + mqSeris 5, working fine.
Thanks & Regards,
Sarath. |

Assuming that by "built" you meant linked with mq5.3 libs, and that by "accessing the queues" you meant "connecting to the QManager and opening queues" - then Yes, there is generally no problem compling with one mq version and working with another; UNLESS you used some options that exist in mq5.3 only, like certain structures in RFH2 etc.

That's a wonderfully incoherent sentence right there... What do you mean by "hanging"? On which call does it hang? What's the RC if there is one? By "working fine" did you mean the QManager was working fine?
Please post clearer questions and problem description, so we'd be able to help |

Also, v5 is too old and is out of support. Unless there is any reason, upgrading it is a good idea |
