I don't think it has a monitoring facility, no.
It does have significantly enhanced accounting and statistics that are available to monitoring facilities, though.
The Info Center should have lots of information about what's new in version 6. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

MQv6 has some additional monitoring parameters:
- It's now possible, to enable SSL events (SSLEV).
- Channel events may now be disabled (CHLEV).
- MQ is now able, to record trace rout informations (ROUTEREC).
- On z/OS now bridge events (BRIDGEEV) and command events (CMDEV) are introduced.
There are new attributes for QMgr (MONACLS, MONCHL, MONQ), channels (MONCHL) and queues (MONQ), which control additional monitoring events. I am not sure, what they really mean, but the document is as twice as large than for version 5.3 (411 pages instead of 211 pages).
I think, MQ now is able, to collect a lot more data, but still you need a monitoring tool, to generate incidents or events within your operating tool. _________________ Regards
