Chaps,

I have an XML message that contains both elements & attributes. I am using WBIMB 5.0.5 on Windows & AIX.

I assume that I need to model this in the MRM because it has attributes I need to use in the flow. Is this assumption correct?

Now the next question...

My message has embedded newline characters which are displayed as unprintable characters, little squares, in the debugger when parsed against my message set. This is not the end of the world & I can access all the components of the logical tree but I would like to know how to get a clean tree in the debugger.

How can I change the message set to include optional newline characters?

If this is not possible should I remove all 0x0a 0x0d charcaters in the blob before parsing?

What do you think?

Thanks

You don't need to model XML unless you need to validate the contents.

You can only get a "clean" tree by removing the line endings, either before you parse the XML or afterward, by filtering the tree.

It's usually not worth it to do, when you can skip the newline elements.
