Sr. Technical Analyst/Middleware Support/Websphere Administrator in Washington DC/MD area with a Fortune 500 company with excellent benefits. Must be US Citizen/Greencard holder. Position is immediate, permanent full-time.
Purpose:
To contribute to client’s competitive advantage by providing the best-in-class technical support—from high-level consultation through detailed administration—for all business partners and user communities currently using or planning to use middleware products including but not limited to Websphere Application Server, MQSeries, WebSphere Business Integrator, WebSphere Portal, and Informatica.
Measurements of Success:
• Middleware environments are effectively tested, implemented, integrated, and administered, thereby meeting the requirements defined by the needs of the business, pre-determined SLAs, and client’s governance policies.
• Project teams have timely access to middleware functionality as a result of effectively installing, configuring, administering, and supporting the middleware products.
• Timely creation of operational and backup/rebuild documentation to ensure middleware environment recovery.
• Stated objectives, goals, and milestones are met on time
Areas of Responsibility:
• Configure middleware related server and client software as needed.
• Test, implement, and integrate middleware products as required.
• Ensure all middleware environments are created and utilized in alignment with MI governance.
• Administer and support middleware products in production, test, and development environments.
• Create all necessary documentation to build, administer, and support all test, development, and production middleware environments.
• Ensure that appropriate health-checks are performed in appropriate intervals having corresponding procedures to respond to anticipated conditions.
• Work with applications developers, database analysts, and other support staff to troubleshoot and/or implement product features.
• Work with OS level administrators to help middleware product integration into server OS environments.
• Work with other support teams as needed to seamlessly transition any middleware environments targeted for production at the Marriott Computing and Network Center.
• Create and distribute documentation required for support staff to monitor and troubleshoot middleware related problems from MCNC.
• Provide on-call support as needed (24 X 7)
• Under supervision of Lead Technical Analysts’, supports more advanced functions of Middleware Systems Support, such as design recommendation, performance analysis, and development of processes and procedures related to middleware activities.
Technical Skills/Qualifications:
• 3-5 Years WebSphere Application Server Administration
• 3-5 Years MQSeries Administration
• Strong shell scripting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical Skills/Other:
• WebSphere Business Integrator Administration
• WebSphere Portal Administration
• Informatica Administration
• Forte Administration
• UNIX System Administration
• Windows Administration
• JAVA Programming Experience
Education/Experience: BS/BA Degree or equivalent technical experience, and 5-7 Years of related work experience. |
