I do see over 1 million records in WORK_ITEM table and almost all the users in the system have roughly same no.of work items assigned to them. We do assign all UPES, automatic activities to "AUTOUSER". Even this guy has similar no.of items assigned to him.
I think what this means is each work item is being created for everyone present in the runtime database. May I know if am correct in my inference?
Because of a requirement, we have to give "AUTHORIZED_FOR WORKITEMS_OF ALL" setting for pretty much every one in workflow.
I am wondering if this is causing this problem. _________________ Thanks

I don't think so... This lets a user see other peoples workitems. It does not cause a workitem to be generated for that user.
You need to look at the staff assignements to see how many workitems are being generated.... Since your prior post indicates you are possibly having issues with the cleanup server, what state are all of these workitems in? If thery are in the finished state then they are awaiting cleanup. _________________ John McDonald
