Anyone have experience or advice with upgrading from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9, with respect to MQ Client or AMI?

I don't see a separate download for Solaris 9 MQ Client. And of course, there's very little about AMI these days.

Thanks.

There is only one MQ product for the SPARC Solaris platform. This is good for all versions of Solaris that IBM names as supported environments for MQ ( currently 8, 9 and 10 - see http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/wmq/requirements/index.html ). The client is available as a separate download, but is essentially the same client code as is available in the paid-for server product.

In short, the MQ client for SPARC Solaris will work fine on Solaris 9. See http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/category.html#cat3

AMI is a deprecated API now ( see remarks at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24000641 ). There's a replacement for C, C++ and .NET that follows the object model of JMS. It's called IBM Message Service client. See http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24007092 or http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ibm+message+service+client
