can someone tell me if I can create a field A and map the process instance id to it? Can i also do the same for a correlationid?
If the answer to the above is yes, then which field in the mapping window would i need to drag for instanceid? (Is this _PROCESS)? and for correlationid(Is this _PROCESS_MODEL or _ACTIVITY)? thanks for yoru help....Nathan. _________________ Newbiedude |

Yes you can, but why would you need to simply reference _PROCESS

Correlation Id is NOT in the container by default... you would have to set it from the API. _________________ John McDonald

actually you are correct, i don't think i want to do that. for some reason I thought that mapping the _PROCESS into a variable gives me the process instance. I forgot that the application would be sending the unique process instance id in the XML so I simply need to map the incoming process id into the variable PI.
it also sounds from what you are saying that i am unable to set the correlationid from the runtime database and would have to go through the api's to achieve that. thanks... _________________ Newbiedude |

Nathan:
The correlationId exists in the XML input message. you would have to put this value into your XML output message in your UPES. _________________ John McDonald
