Hi,
This is with respect to make how clustering high available. I have QM1 running on BOX1, QM2 running on BOX2. QM1 and QM2 are formed as cluster. Similarly QM3 running on BOX3 and QM4 running on BOX4. Here also QM3 and QM4 are formed as cluster. Please note here two clusters are formed now QM1, QM2 and QM3,QM4. Now i want to create channels between these two clusters with fail-over mechanisim which means when BOX3 goes down, the channel should automatically route the messages to BOX4. Please help me in how to achive this?
Thanks.

Where are you putting messages to? What QMGRs?

Let's say that QM3 and QM4 are part of 1 MQ cluster, say CLUSTER1. You can then define another QM5 to be part of CLUSTER1. You can then create 2 identical cluster queues on QM3 and QM4. When you put messages on this queue on QM5, the messages are automatically load-balanced between QM3 and QM4. If QM3 goes doen, MQ will redirect messages to QM4.
Check the Cluster Manual. They give quite a comprehensive example of how to achive this. |
