Hi Guyes,

I want to test DLQ handler for messages which are in dead letter queue because of PUT_INHIBITED reason.

I try to create the below scenario to get PUT_INHIBITED msg in dead letter queue of QM , but not get success.

My test setup and steps as bleow:

There are 2 QM A and B , SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER QUEUE are assign to both QM. QM B hosting "PARIS" queue which is in cluster.

I have made PUT enabled on PARIS queue on QM B, so same reflect on QM A when i do dis qcluster(PARIS) . After this i stop the channels on QM A both sender and reciever ,so no clutser information will be updated on A from B.

Then I made PUT disabled on QM B. After doing this i put the msg on PARIS queue from QM A using ..... amqsput PARIS A . After this it shows me msg in transmit queue of QM A.

After this i start the channel on QM A both sender and reciever..

The msg in transmit queue on QM A move to QM B .. According to MQ it should go to SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER queue instead of "PARIS" queue ... because PUT is disabled on that queue on QM B.

But it still show me msg is going to "PARIS" queue.

How the msg is getting put on Queue , after making it PUT disabled.?

Please let me know how should i get msg in dead letter queue with PUT-INHIBITED reason?

Try it outside of a cluster first.

Hi ,

Its working for the queue which is outside the cluster ie on remote queue Manager.

But why it is not working in CLUSTER env.?

Have you read the cluster manual? Therein lies your response!
