I am trying to get Message Boker File Exender 5 working with WMBI 6. I have applied all of the latest maintenance and all goes well until I try to add the new message flows, containing the file extender, FileInput and FileOutput nodes to a bar file. It fails saying that I do not have an Input node in the mesage flow. Is there something really obvious I am missing? There is not the tradittioanl Input nodes of a normal message flow. It does not seem to recognize the FileInput node as an Input node.
TIA....

Did you apply the "bootstrap" fix pack and the MBFE specific fix pack ? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

hi....
I did apply the latest WMBI specific maintenance which contianed the APAR specific for dealing with a know File Exstender class loader issue. I was acually having that problem originally until I applied that maintenance. I will have to search out the File Extender specific maintenance and apply that. I did not know if there was anything special you needed to do when building a bar with a File Extender FileInputNode. So, I guess it should read that noe as an input node and I should not be having this issue? The procedure is the same as building a bar with regular WMBI pieces?
Thanks....

Once you have applied the MBFE specific fixpack (after the bootstrap.jar APAR) you should be good to go. Nothing specific but for the fact that the error/catch options on the File node are not as standard as on the MQInput node. You need to read through the options and understand what they mean.
Have fun.

Hi....
I applied the MBFE specific maintenance but still the same problem exists. The odd thing is that I can run the samples provied with MBFE without issue. I even tried adding one of the supplied samplemessage flows to a new .bar file and I receive the same error message, cannot be added to the .bar becuase it does not contain an input node.
Any other ideas would be welcome.
Thanks....

Yes I did. That is what is equally as puzzling is that the MBFE nodes all show up in the pallette as they should. I can freely interact with them and all seems normal until I go to build my .bar .
Thanks....
