Hi.
I would like to ask the following:
Can I have 2 queue managers in a cluster in a windows enviroment and my application put a message to a remote queue (if it can exist in a cluster) which redirects to a remote queue manager in a AIX mainframe which does not belong to the cluster?

In more words, can I configure a remote queue in a cluster and put the message to my remote queue manager?

Thanks in advance.

Sure, you can define a good old fashioned remote queue definition and non-cluster channels (sender-receiver pair) between the Win and AIX machines

Is the real question (hidden between the lines) "can a QREMOTE be clustered?" If so the answer is yes.

Thank you all for replying me.

I implemented a custering scenario after seeing your replies and my situation is as follows:
I have 2 queue managers named A and B located in different PCs which participate in a cluster. I defined the queue manager A as a gateway in the cluster.
I also have another one named C which is not a member of the cluster.
I succeeded in putting a message from C to a queue in the cluster.

I wonder how can I put a message to a queue of queue manager C from my cluster. Shall I implement the traditional scenario of queues-channels for every queue manager in the cluster or do something else from my cluster?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Is this the scenario?

A and B are in the cluster. You have suceeded to put message from C which is not a part of the cluster to A/B. How did you do it?

Now you want to put message from A/B back to C?

Easiest way is to do is create the channels from Gateway A to C , add a Qmanager Ailas to C from B , and define Qremotes ,

Even if yo u create a Namelist and add A and C to a different cluster , you will not have much benifit
