Almost certainly you will be fine. But why not use the latest version of the client? It can be downloaded for free, and will have the most recent defect fixes.

One of our Customer is using the some applications with MQ Series Cliebt 5.0 and they were upgrading thier OS to Solaris 9. SO they were asking us to is there compatibility issues between these.

Where can i find the PDF or Information about the different versions of MQ Series Client and other their OS compatibility list?

Client V5.0? You previously said V5.2. In any case, withdrawn clients and their doc is here:

5.2 is out of support long back, so you cannot get a link or expect any kind of support from IBM,

Either you upgrade your client to 5.3 on Solaris 9 or Hope it will work

MQ clients are free. (except the "transactional client").... You pay for the MQ server

The general page for "supported environments" for MQ is http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27007065 In fact this page is a pretty important hub page for library (ie. manuals) and support pages too.

( The old URL for supported environments - which now gets redirected - was the slightly-more-memorable http://www.ibm.com/software/integration/websphere/mqplatforms/supported.html )

Thanks a lot for your useful information.

I contacted the IBM Support team and they told that one of their client is using MQ Series Client version 5.2 with OS Solaris version9 and they dont have any problems.

Yes as mentioned by you they wont support any problems if we face in this version.
