I am a new user to MQ Series Client v5.3. I am running amqsputc to test the connection between my server and a customer's server. I am getting the message "MQCONN ended with reason code 2393". AMQERR01.LOG says:
"AMQ9643: Remote SSL peer name error for channel '%XX.XXXX01.SSL'.
EXPLANATION:
The remote end of channel '%XX.XXXX01.SSL' has had an SSL peer name error. The
channel did not start.
ACTION:
Review the error logs on the remote system to discover the problem with the
peer name. "
with the X's replacing the actual channel(?) name. I could be mistaken, but this sounds like something is amiss on my customer's server.
When they check their error log they see the following:
"AMQ9637: Channel is lacking a certificate … for the SSL handshake…"
Amqsputc can't be used to test SSL connections - it doesn't contain the code to supply the necessary SSL parameters, including the client side certificate.
For purely connectivity testing, you may be able to get them to disable SSL temporarily, so you can use amqsputc. Then you can test the SSL parts of your own application separately. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
