Folks,

I have 2 systems , Server 1 , Server 2

server1 hosts QM1 and local Cluster Queue CLQ1
server2 hosts QM2 and local Cluster Queue CLQ1

From server3 having QM3 part of same cluster as QM1 and Qm2 with NO Local queues , I am able to roundrobin messages to QM1 and QM2.

I am wondering can QM3 reside on server1 or server2 instead of server3.

These machines are the smallest units possible ( LPAR, vmware etc ) with their own OS etc.

Basically I want to setup two QM's on same Machine part of same cluster , One of the them has the Local CLQ and other QM access the CLQ on other as Alais , IS that Possible ?

Thanks
Sunny

Is there anything different I have to do if its on the same machine. I m just creating new QM qm3 on server1 , then creating rcvr channel and sender channel to same server1 since its all on same machine ..

I m getting that SYSTEM.TEMPQMGR for Sender channel when its on same server but not when they are on different ..May be I a missing something ?

Did you start the listener on the right port?
Did you give the right conname
Did you create the RCVR first and then SDR

Yes. Make sure each QM listens on a unique port and set your CONNAMEs accordingly.

Cheers,
