Need a freelancer in the DC area (or really anywhere) that can write routine to get messages in queue. Each msg is in the form of an xml file and would need to be saved as an xml file by the routine into a folder that I would poll.
Conversely need a routine to put msg in queue that is an xml file in one long string. The xml file would be placed in folder by an external routine. Your routine would poll that folder and put file as msg.
OR, teach me Answer here and I'll supply email address.
Hope someone out there can help with routines that can be tweaked for my needs. Hope they do not have to be built from scratch. Time is limited.

I think it would be less expensive for you to modify some sample programs...
and probably take a lot less time, too.
What you're asking for is a trivial exercise for anyone who has even just gotten out of a basic MQ programming class.
And if you had registered, then you would have gotten a "private message" box that people could use to contact you, without you needing to give an email address. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

hi, I did just register and sent you a msg before I saw this one. Sorry, did not realize that you were not interested ... please ignore.
You say it is trivial. I have no VB and it's been years since i did any c prgming. Have visual dbase only. Could not figure out how to use the dlls provided by ibm, or if it is even possible. Have seen activex mentioned, but cannot find explicit instructions. I do not know mq series at all beyond setting up the client and running a quick test.
How trivial is this to do? seriously. I have programmed for years, but cannot find any docs that really help me.

Hi jeannie,
What system do u want to run this on ?
Is Java programming enough ?
Do you want a graphical interface to specify the folder name etc ?
Regards. |

Hi,
no gui. I have a prg that constantly polls a folder for content. When any file is found, it is processed.
Now I need to add an additional timer so that every so many minutes, a module connects to mqseries, grabs any msgs, saves each as an xml file. When that is finished, my routine will process the xml.
I need the middleman. I had hoped to find an activex I could use within visual dbase.
