I've been looking for the AIX Server Install files for about an hour. I've found the WMQ6.0.1.0 Refresh and the V6.0 Clients but I can't find the server install.
Do I have to buy the CD? _________________ Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial. |

Chris, I downloaded the z/Linux files a few months back. Took me forever to find'em, but I did not need to order the CD. _________________ Peter Potkay

I think that server versions are only available through Passport Advantage or Partner World software access? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

The Passport Advantage URL is https://www-112.ibm.com/software/howtobuy/passportadvantage/paocustomer/passporthome.nsf/pao/pac-passportadvantage_en_us?OpenDocument. It requires an IBM login ID and password. Access to the site is granted by your "Site Primary Contact", who can grant your ID its download privileges. Once you have download privileges, you can download every software for which you have purchased licenses; usually all supported versions are listed and available.
Here at my job, the Site Primary Contact is (inexplicably) a fellow in the purchasing department. I used to be a Secondary Site Contact and I could grant download access. Ah, the good old days.
To be allowed to open tickets online, your Technical Site Contact must authorize that privilege by a separate approval. That person may or may not be the same person as your Site Primary Contact.
Sound like a bureaucrat, don't I? Pardon the post if everyone knows all of this already..... |
