For some reason 'setmqaut' is not working for me. I am on MQ5.3 on AIX. I am trying to remove access authority on a queue manager for a user id.

Before Setmqaut:
dspmqaut -m DENW00 -t qmgr -p uqm7mlq3
Entity uqm7mlq3 has the following authorizations for object DENW00:
inq
connect
altusr
crt
chg
dsp
setid
setall


SETMQAUT:
setmqaut -m DENW00 -t qmgr -p uqm7mlq3 -all

I am doing 'refresh security' after setmqaut.

After Setmqaut:
dspmqaut -m DENW00 -t qmgr -p uqm7mlq3
Entity uqm7mlq3 has the following authorizations for object DENW00:
inq
connect
altusr
crt
chg
dsp
setid
setall

I still see the same access list. Please give any inputs.

Location: Kansas City
Find out from smit on AIX which groups the user is in, and then check the authorizations for each group on that qmgr.
dspmqaut -m DENW00 -t qmgr -g grpname
It may be that this user is in more than one group.
