.
When I use "CL" compiler as
CL NAME.C /FeNAME.exe
-I"C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Tools\c\include"
"c:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Tools\Lib\mqic32.lib"
a get a beautifull "NAME.EXE" file that runs perfect ...
But if I use Borland's compiler ...
BCC32
-I"C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Tools\c\include"
-L"C:\TEMP\libs\mqm.lib" NAME.C
... it does not like the "LIB" file :
( and MQM.LIB "is" in that directory ... )
Error: Unresolved external '_MQCONN' referenced from C:\TEMP\NAME.OBJ
*** Has anybody compiled MQM.LIB and/or MQIC32.LIB
(as they come with MQ version 5.3 )
with Borland's complier ?
Thanks. Sebastian.
PD - The compiler versions are :
>>> CL
Microsoft (R) 32-bit C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 12.00.8168 for 80x86
>>> BCC32
Borland C++ 5.5.1 for Win32 Copyright (c) 1993, 2000 Borland

Borland uses a different format for libraries than the microsoft "standard".
You can attempt to use the omf2comf (or is it comf2omf) utility on the libs you want to use...
But there's no guarantees.
You could use ActiveX to talk to the COM objects (that's what I did).

Hi,
The search button works wonders.
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3210
In the future, give it a try.
Regards,
Roger Lacroix
