Hi,
Installed MB -6 Broker on AIX ver 5.3x, installed MB 6 -Config Manager and Broker Tool kit on Windows XP.
Able to connect the Broker, after that we tried to deploy the Test Msg Flow to Broker. During that time, we are getting information as " Broker is not running", but there is no error msg in Event Log.
It is observed that in Event Viewer - Application "Channel program 'DTWXDEV.OPNADEV' ended abnormally. "
Both Sender and Receiver Channels are running (In AIX and Windows XP)
Increased number of Channels to 400 on MQ Queue. Manager.
Note : 'DTWXDEV.OPNADEV' is sender channel in Windows Machine.
Did anybody experienced this type of probelm, if so what is soluation.
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Anil |

"Broker not running" means "Nothing is deployed yet".
Channel not starting is a problem.
Increased the number of channels? Why? Don't change things without knowing why you are changing them.
What ELSE does the Event Viewer say, other than the channel ended abnormally? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thank you Jefflowrey for your quick response
As per MQ Administrator informed that it reached maximum connections (initially it is 100) we increased the number of channels, assuing this may the issue. But still we having same issue.
In eventveiwer it is showing that Channel program ended abnormally.
But we are seeing both sender and receiver channels are in running state.
Thanks
Anil. |

It should include more messages about why the channel ended abnormally.
Or at least, the message itself should have more information than that.
If you have an MQ Administrator, have him or her troubleshoot the connection until the channels are working consistently without reporting any errors. If you aren't the MQ Administrator, this isn't exactly your problem. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hi anilkumarm,
Hope u have setup new set of broker and configuration manager.
Check the following ......
1. Do u have proper comunication between broker and config queue manager. i.e Is there any firewall between the AIX and windows machine?
2. Can u find any error message in MQSeries error logs in both the machine???
3. To my understanding configuration manager not able to connect to the broker...Are u able to create a new execution group from configmgr...??? _________________ Thanks and Regards,
