Hi all

I am trying to create a database using DB2 control center but i get the following error

SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued.
SQLSTATE=57019

there are no databases to start and when i click on start on the DB2 object it gives me an error saying

The DB2 Administration server cannot execute the script at host
"GSHD4532". Reason code "4".

I'm not an expert on this but...

I think you need to issue a db2start command (ensuring you have appropriate environment variables set!) or alternatively start the necessary DB2 Service(s) if you're on Windows and prefer to use the Windows admin panels.

You didn't mention whether you're working through the WMB install instructions. The following URL will guide you through the command line method on non-Windows systems. Note the running of a profile script, and the db2start command.

Look in the left-hand pane of the Info Center for a link to the equivalent GUI instructions.
