Setting a filter on GDC

Is there a way to specify a filter on the GDC from the web client. I've attempted this a few times but keep getting timeout. I can only assume syntax is incorrect??? Any help appreciated.....

Do other things time out with this client? I've not seen a timeout only the 125 Invalid Filter errror when I have a bad filter setting.

Anything in the logs? fmcsys and fmcerr?

Thanks jmac,

It seems I sometimes get a timeout when the filter being specifiied is incorrect...not too sure why. Anyway, I've found the correct filter/sorting syntax with your help from another posting.......thanks again :-)
