Hi, I posted a disgruntled message on this forum some time back about the number of eclipse instances you have to run for each IBM installed product. What i would like to know is if there is a definitive list of things that can/need to be moved from the WebsphereMQ V6 installation, besides the contents of the plugin directory, to the equivalent directories created by the V6 Broker installation in order to run both product from a single running instance of eclipse. Also and to continue my original disgruntlement (you never get change unless you moan enough), if it is easy enough to just move the plugin contents across then why don't IBM make life easier for its clients by offering both a full virgin install and a plugin version, the full version just ensures the correct level of eclipse is being run as part of the installation program blah blah. The pro side of having such a installation choice is that when it comes to upgrading said packages, whereas the full version just overwrite and saves off the replaced, you have the potential for integrity mismatch if you are doing this manually as you would not be 100% that you knew what bits the CSD may have upgraded.

The standard answer is to point the Upgrade manager at the MQ installation, and let it handle things.

The hack-it-yourself answer is to copy plugins, features and the LINKS folder.
