Does anyone have experience with SAP headers in MQ messages (or other proprietary headers for that matter)?
When someone uses an SAP, SEBL, PFST, SOAP, etc. header in their MQ message, are those headers just extending the header, or is it really just an RFH2 type header, or is it a totally specialized header for that vendor? If anyone can point me to any docs or examples, it would be appreciated.
Regards,

Your best bet to answer this question before someone else does is to use AMQSBCG to dump a message produced by SAP.
Then you can see if the MQFMT is set to a semi-custom string, and if the SAP header data is separated from the MQ body by a blank line, and etc. like the MQRFH2 is.
Or you can see if the SAP header is actually an MQRFH2.
I don't know SAP, SEBL, or PFST and I don't know the details of the MQ SOAP transport to be able to answer this directly.
There is a new manual on the MQ SOAP transport that may be helpful for that specific case, but I doubt it will be helpful for the general case... as I doubt there is a general case... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
