Hi all,

I really need your help!!!

There were some messages in SYSTEM.DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE on my queue manager on TANDEM. I tried to browse these messages via MO71 but got this message:

"<queue name> unit of work cancelled"

Anyone can help me to solve this problem. Thank you so much.

Note: My MQSeries level is 510.

It was a known issue with the old version of MO71 (or MQ on Tandem??) I don't remember correctly. There was a long private mailing with the author (Paul Clark) but I don't find these posts.

Can you post the version of MQ for Tandem and MO71?

This was a bug in the Tandem product. I had thought there was a fix available but it was aa while ago. If you send me an email I will forward it to the guys in Tandem who might be able to help you.

Cheers,
Paul.

Hi Paul,

Thanks this clarification. And MO71 works correctly since the patching of qmgrs on Tandem (current level is CSD3/EFix3 as far as I remember).

You can always use MQJexplorer to do this task the only requirement is you have a queue named SYSTE.ADMIN.SVRCONN all the details are found in the help doc once you get it installed. here is the link

http://www.kolban.com/mqjexplorer/

Install the WITH VM version!

Good Luck

You need CSD3 ... and all will be well.

Also, you need to make sure the Principal MQM ID has authority for that function.
