Hi,
problem is:
Fresh install of 2003 all service packed up running on virtual PC.
installed MBv6 with express install (MQv6, derby, broker, toolkit).
Install finishes and all is well.
I can open toolkit, create a default config and this completes all everything is working fine.
I can reboot the vpc at this point and everything comes up fine.
However.... run up the vpc on another box and when it comes up the MQ processes are using 100% CPU and continue to use 100% indefinately.
I originally though it might be a DHCP problem (vpc like vmware is runing the virtual machines behind its own DHCP NAT). Could it on getting a new IP from the new vpc install have cocked up MQ ?
After some faffing around stopping services, starting them again, making then manual, rebooting, etc... it is sometimes possible to get everything up. But mostly not.
No errors showing in the logs.
The 100% process varies but is always one of the MQ ones (amqXXXX).
I tried abandoning 2003 and going back to 2000 server (still vpc), but eclipse didn't seem to like that: lots of the graphics in the toolkit were screwed up. Though there were no problems with the broker, etc. But as an unsupported platform (even though it would make our life migrating from our 2000 mbv5 environment easier).
Has anyone had a similar problem, since with a clean 2003 and the install it seems that (short of vpc screwing it up....but it really is pretty infallible generally) other folk must have came across this. |
