Hi

I am trying to install the webclient using fmczutil on a Windows 2000 machine. I have Websphere installed and running as well as the other prerequisites like DB2 and MQSeries. In the configuration process I am prompted for:

FMC33607I Specify information about the WebSphere Application Server ...:
Installation directory : []

I type in the path to my Websphere installation as d:ibmwebsphereappserver and get the following error:

- FMC33888E WebSphere could not be found at location 'd:ibmwebsphereappserve

If I use Tomcat as my servlet container everything works correctly. This error just happens on WebSphere. I am using MQWF 3.3.2 and Websphere 4.0 AES (Single Server Edition).

Has anybody got any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

I've done this a number of times without problem, but I've always had WebSphere running while configuring-see if that works...

I had the exactly same problem, WorkFlow not recognising the Websphere installation with Window 2000 server.

FMCZUTIL will only install the webclient automatically if you are using WAS 4 AE (not AES) and have the Administrator's Console java app. With AES you have to configure the webclient for 'other app. server' and import the war/ear files it into Websphere manually.
