Hi,

I have installed a configuration manager on XP SP2 and the created config manager goes down after after a restart with this error message
Quote:

( ConfigMgr ) Error in call NetUserGetLocalGroups() to the NT security
domain with return code 1722.

A component of WebSphere Business Integration Message Brokers is attempting
to call the NT security domain. The security subsystem returned an error
code.

Check NT security subsystem documentation for the reported error. Restart
the relevant service component (UserNameServer, or Configuration Manager).
Ensure that a Domain Controller, either Primary or Backup, is available.

Should I not use SP2 or ?

Thanks
Jakob

Microsoft recently implemented a change in this area that affects anonymous RPC; the upshot is that if you receieve this error, you should run the Config Manager as an authenticated domain user.
Try using mqsichangeconfigmgr to enable domain support (-l 2) and your problem should go away. Also make sure that the service userid is a local administrator.

Thanks Matt

I read on a Microsoft page that if I upgrade to the newest XP SP level the problem will besolved. Is that not your experience?

My v5 csd5 config mgr communicates with AIX csd 5 brokers that are installed with a local user say wbiadmin. I would like to use the same user when I install the config mgr. Therfore I would like to use a wbiadmin local user as the config mgr logon. That is not possible with your fix?

Thanks

I haven't actually seen this error myself, although I heard of another user experiencing the same problem - and in their case, it was solved by the fix I mentioned.
Give it a go, and share your experiences here... and if the problem persists, raise a PMR.

Cheers
