Does anyone know if it is possible to pool JMS connection provider to MQ with the use of an websphere app server. I noticed that there is a setting in the queue connection factory asking for a jndi name ,can anyone help me to solve this problem.

WAS does this automatically.

When an application uses JNDI to look up a QueueConnectionFactory, which has been configured already, it uses a JDNI name to find the QCF. The QCF actually returns one connection taken from a pool.

The QCF properties set in the WAS admin console include settings for controlling the size of the pool of connections that WAS maintains - and hands out to applications as needed.

This is essentially basic use of WAS, and you should spend some more time reading the documentation and especially there are some good redbooks on basic and advanced WAS administration.
