I set up a cluster with a gateway along with two clustered QMs. Each of the clustered QMs have the same queues. The gateway has no queues and round robins all requests to the other two QMs.

I tested the gateway by posting messages to it using the imqsput example app. It seemed to work fine, all messages were routed to one of the clustered QMs.

Now I am trying to setup a JMS app to send to this gateway and I am getting a 2085 : Unknown object name when creating a QueueSender. To see whether it was a problem with my jms configuration or something else I created a local q by the same name on the gateway and the app was successful.

Does anyone know if there are any different setting I need to either put into my jndi settings or in my code to post to a clustered queue?

Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind, found it.

For anyone else who has this issue ensure in your jndi settings that your queue definition has no value set for the qmgr field.
