Hi guys,

I would be forever grateful if anybody can point me to a tool that can generate create scripts for my Queue Managers...

Or is there a built-in function in WebsphereMQ that can do it?

Thanks!
Anthony

Exactly what are you looking to do? Are you looking for MQSC scripts, script to start/stop your queue manager, trigger monitor, etc....

I need to re-install a client's MQ box on a different server...

I re-created the qman on the new box & copied across the qmgrs folder; this worked but is proving to be a bit unstable...

I would prefer rather to re-create the qman & run a mqsc script to re-create all the objects in the qman...

?

(I was hoping you'd ask )
You can use supportpac MS03 - saveqmgr, to backup all your definitions into a file.
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&q1=mA1J&uid=swg24000673&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en
Then you can ftp (or whatever) the file to the new system and run the definitions into the new qmgr using "runmqsc". The supportpac does not backup security definitions, but you can use the command "amqoamd -s" to save those.
