Hi.

I would like to report that I've installed MQ in Debian (6.0 trial).
If you ever need to install it in a Debian machine, don't use alien.

Create the dir /usr/lib/rpm
Install rpm .deb
Run rpm --initdb
Proceed with MQ rpm installation with --force --nodeps options (follow IBM instructions about user and group creation).

All should work after that.

This installation bypasses the Debian package system!! Use at your own risk.

For me it works fine now. I think for uninstall all you need to do is to run rpm with uninstall options, uninstall rpm .deb package and delete /usr/lib/rpm.
