Hi,

I have MQ Series 5.2 for Server running on WinNT, and I would like to see the status of a remote queue manager running on another NT box in MQSeries Explorer. The remote QM is also MQSeries 5.2

The problem is I can't connect to the remote QM in MQSeries Explorer, everytime I tried it would say the QM is not available for connection or it's not configured to accept connection(AMQ4043). Does anyone know how the remote QM works in MQ Explorer? Thanks.

On the remote queue manager:

1. Create a SVRCONN channel definition called SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN
2. You may have security issues, you may have to define the same user as you will be connecting as on the remote system and give it MQ authorities
3. Start the MQSeries Listener associated with the remote queue manager
4. Start the MQSeries Command Server
