MQSeries.net :: View topic - AMQ8077 for user that exists on 2 different domains

we have 3 domains: production, old & new domain
we started moving people from tyhe old to new domain but have a problem on MQ side.
if the username (ID as MQ refer to it) is identical on both domains it won't login from the new domain.
whenever the username is different we have no problem.
re-issueing the permissions doesn't help because the MQ is looking at the old domain & avoid the new one.
how can I force the MQ authentication to check for the user on the new domain instead of the old one?
