For connecting legacy VB6 code to Websphere MQ V6, I'm planning to use VB6-.NET interop functionnalities for making possible my legacy VB6 code to connect to MQ via XMS .NET API.

Questions :

1) Does it make sense ?

2) Is XMS ready for Websphere MQ V6 base pub/sub ?

3) Once I install Websphere MQ V6, do I have to do special configuration for the base MQ V6 pub/sub broker ? How could I make sure the base MQ V6 broker is running ?

Thanks in advance for any information.

I can't speak for VB or WMQ v6, but I did use the XMS C code to work with the broker on WMQ 5.3. I think you'll be ok.
