Hi all,
I would like to know (performance wise) difference between calling a java procedure in a compute and using a plugin node to performe the same task(eg IO operations..). Which way is better ?
Cheers,

I think you'll have to run your own performance tests and find out.
I don't think this specific issue is addressed in the performance support packs.
But I could be wrong. You should definitely read those, anyway. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

And, in MB V6, you can write a "Java Compute Node" which saves the additional effort required when doing a plugin node. _________________ -wayne |

I saw some performance numbers between a java compute node and native ESQL. The thing that stuck out more than anything was that the performance depended on what you are doing. Jeff probably hit the nail on the head when he indicated you would have to try it both ways yourself. |
