Hello there.

We installed WBI 5 under AIX with DB2 7.2... But now, because of end of support a migration project to DB2 8.2 will start soon.

Is it possible to simply migrating database and have WBI ( Conf under Windows & Brokers under AIX ) working fine ? Or it is necessary to recreate everything after DB2 migrations ?

I didn't think MB v5 suppported DB2 7.x...

Weird.

As far as I know, and I'm *not* a DBA, you shouldn't need to drop and recreate databases or tables.

WBI V5 should be supported on DB2 7.2 fixpack 9....

DB2 migrations/fixpack installs are usually straightforward, no drops or recreate required, ive not migrated from the above to 8 though.
