All,
I'm trying to upgrade from MQ 5.2.1 (CSD04) to MQ 5.3. I had stopped the IBM MQ service and even set it to manual and restarted the system, to make sure no process are running.
But, when i try to upgrade, using C44J9ML.exe (downloaded from Passport). i get an error saying " Setup Wizard was interrupted" and says please try again later.
Below, is last part of Msi.Log. Can anyone please let me know, what can be the problem

Are there any local applications running on the machine ?? You will need to stop them also (They load the libs into memory) _________________ Jeff

KK,
I don't think your problem is with files in memory because it gives a very specific error in that case. I had an issue like this once where the Installation Wizard kept getting interrupted. Unfortunately, I can't get to the original PMR so I don't know if this is an exact match of your situation; however, the symptom I had was definitely the same and I *think* I was doing a 5.2 to 5.3 upgrade.
Here's the advice I got, and it worked:
Quote: |
Go to the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole" and check if the value 'DefaultAccessPermission' exists (it may or may not exist depending on settings in DCOM). If it does exist, export a copy of the registry, as a backup, and then delete the 'DefaultAccessPermission' value. Once you have done this, the MQ install should work. |
And it did work!
