Hi,
I'm new to MQ Series. I have installed MQ Client on Windows 2000 SP2 server and am having some configuration issues. I set up the environmental variable MQSERVER to connect to Windows NT server.
I am running the sample code with only change on MQCONN call with the Queue Manager Name. The call fails with 2058, Queue Manager Name Error.
The following is the Error text from AMQERR01.LOG
AMQ9518: File 'C:Program FilesMQSeriesAMQCLCHL.TAB' not found.
EXPLANATION:
The program requires that the file 'C:Program FilesMQSeriesAMQCLCHL.TAB' is
present and available.
ACTION:
This may be caused by invalid values for the optional environment variables
MQCHLLIB, MQCHLTAB or MQDATA. If these variables are valid or not set then
record the name of the file and tell the systems administrator who must ensure
that file 'C:Program FilesMQSeriesAMQCLCHL.TAB' is available to the program.
Could you please help me resolve this problem...?
Thanks, I appreciate your help. |

The message suggests that the command window in which you ran the sample program, hasn't picked up the environment variable yet.
How did you set the variable? If you use the ControlPanel->System dialog and set it as a user variable, you need to open a new command window from which you run the sample.
If you defined it as a system variable, you probably have to reboot to make the changes visible to other processes.
BTW, which sample program are you using?
Stefan
