Hello Guys,
I know most you may feel like kicking me out of the forum. Dont you?
I have tried to search much to find out what all are the processes initiated when a QM is started.(like amqrmppa,amqzlaa0_nd......) And what are they actually doing. Could any one kindly refer me to some documents which explain that or guide to the proper place where I can find it all. Thank you in advance.
Best Regards

Hi Jeff,
I am using a solaris box with WMQ v5.3 and CSD 05. When I ps -ef |grep QM the result was as follows
mqm 22717 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 28:38 amqzlaa0 -mQM.QMFRGLR01 -fip2
mqm 13858 1 0 Sep 09 ? 2:23 runmqlsr -m QM.QMFRGLR01 -t TCP -p 1414
mqm 22576 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 3:44 amqzllp0 -mQM.QMFRGLR01 ?
mqm 22581 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 0:01 /opt/mqm/bin/amqzdmaa -m QM.QMFRGLR01
mqm 22585 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 4:21 amqzlaa0 -mQM.QMFRGLR01 -fip0
mqm 22573 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 1:19 amqhasmx QM!QMFRGLR01 /var/mqm
mqm 22571 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 0:01 /opt/mqm/bin/amqzfuma -m QM.QMFRGLR01
mqm 22610 1 0 Sep 12 ? 3:24 amqpcsea QM.QMFRGLR01
mqm 22570 1 0 Sep 12 ? 1:06 amqzxma0 -m QM.QMFRGLR01
mqm 22584 22570 0 Sep 12 ? 0:16 /opt/mqm/bin/runmqchi -m QM.QMFRGLR01
mqm 22605 13858 0 Sep 12 ? 58:04 /opt/mqm/bin/amqrmppa -m QM.QMFRGLR01
mqm 6153 22570 0 04:58:32 ? 0:19 amqzlaa0 -mQM.QMFRGLR01 -fip4501
and when I give top it shows as follows
12068 mqm 16 47 4 34M 4648K sleep 190.8H 14.86% amqrmppa
and some other processes also .....I just want to know why these processes run. How r they initiated and what does it do? I know there are some documents which may explain all these. If you could give me some light into it that will be great. Thank you again for your time.
Regards,

It's also in the Info Center that comes with the product. Search for process, or amqrmppa, or any of the amq* processes.
But by far, Jeff's link above will be the most comprehensive list of all.
Cheers. |
