I wanted to restrt my QM while all services for WMQI were running.
When I tried to stop the QM through MQ Explorer it took a very long time but finally did it. I then stopped the services for the Broker and Config Manager anf finally the services for MQseries.
Then I restarted all three of them.
However the QM was not started in MQ Explorer.
Even the manual start of the QM failed.

Where did I go wrong ?
I suspect that I should have stopped the MQSI services first and then stopped the QM. There was no need to stop the MQ Services.

Okay, broker and ConfigMgr do not run if their QMs are down.

You should stop them completely before attempting to start their QMs, also.

Then, you should troubleshoot why the QM doesn't start, if it doesn't start.
